Tom Patterson Theatre

Franklin Precast Terrazzo is committed to exceptional craftsmanship and a culture of performance, delivering quality, precision, and lasting results in every project.

Few local figures have had as profound an impact on Stratford and Canada’s cultural landscape as Tom Patterson. In 1952, with a modest $125 grant from Stratford City Council, Patterson launched a six-week Shakespeare festival. What began as a bold vision grew into the internationally renowned Stratford Festival, evolving into a year-round cultural institution that has welcomed millions of theatregoers and generated significant economic and cultural impact for the community.

To honour Patterson’s remarkable legacy, the magnificent Tom Patterson Theatre was dedicated in 2020, commemorating the centennial of his birth. The theatre celebrates its enduring contribution to the arts while providing a stunning setting for generations of performers and audiences.

Franklin Precast Terrazzo is proud to have contributed to this iconic space. Our craftsmanship is showcased throughout the theatre in its custom terrazzo counters, sinks, and wall elements—combining durability, artistry, and precision in a building created to honour Stratford’s remarkable theatrical heritage.
